Welcome to a brand New Year.
We can resolve to make 2013 a bit better for someone, somewhere.
Most New Year's resolutions are made only to be broken in a short while. Most are made to make life better for ourselves in some way. Nothing wrong with that, but this year, resolve to do something different, something more rewarding and more beneficial ---FOR SOMEONE ELSE. We can all give to someone who has a need. Maybe we are limited what we can give, and it may not even be money, but surely we can do something for someone without great sacrifice, and it will return dividends to us.
The key is that we must give with free will and an open heart, and not because we expect to be recognized or rewarded for it. A selfish motive will reap no reward for us. We should not refuse to give to someone in need because we feel they don't deserve it, won't appreciate it, or may use it unwisely. If the need is there, you will not be the loser by giving.
Wishing you the very best for 2013!
